Management Baffled By Barren Galaxy’s Edge

One guy might be interested in the Faux Fighter.

Disney News Today reports:

Crowds Remain Low Despite Lifting of Annual Passholder Blockout Dates Across Disneyland Resort

Despite Disneyland opening one of the most anticipated lands in modern history, crowds at Disneyland have remained below average. Even months after opening, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has failed to drive the needle at Disneyland for reasons that seem to baffle management.

Reality also seems to baffle management.

  1. ‘I’m thinking that I should just tweet, “It’s opening,” and that would be enough. I think we’re going to end up with incredibly popular and in demand product with these two new lands. They are large. They are beautiful. They’re extremely innovative. They obviously leverage the popularity of the “Star Wars” brand. I think we’re going to have absolutely no problem gaining attention for them or to them.’

‘It’s a big deal, and it’s going to be terrific.’

  2. Not a fan of TFA, but they could easily give people an opportunity to sit next to the foot of an overturned AT-AT walker and eat lunch–reproducing the scene from that movie where Rey does the same thing. I mean, all you’d need is the round foot-thing, and some sand. I don’t know why they don’t think of these things.

  3. I loved Star Tours every time I went to Disneyworld from way back in 1992 to present.

I think once they start incorporating PT and OT at the theme park it will do better. Star Wars Weekends was fun when I went back in 2013 and 2014. I had a good time.

I enjoyed the Harry Potter wizard world at Universal. So I think I will enjoy this Star Wars world, so I plan to go to Galazy’s Edge in November or December if its not closed by then, lol.

They did drop the ball, they let their ego and politics fuck themselves in the ass.
